i was so excited to hear about the collab between opening ceremony and pendleton. in my eyes, any collaboration involving opening ceremony is gold, but this takes the cake. i spent my youth in and out of sporting goods shops, so this is like a childhood memory through fashion-tinted lenses (i know, that was dumb). those pants!! lookbook shot by richard kern, styled by alastair mckimm.

things i buy but do not need v.1

here are some things i snagged this week in austin. the jeans are pretty basic high-waisted flares (yay for the 70s) which will have to be hemmed in a big way. cute little black mesh cotton (!) top-- the tag said "get creative". i'm thinking of having the poncho made into some sort of jacket. i like the idea of a poncho, but they are just a bit impractical for my life, you know? lately i have seen so many great blankets that are dying to be made into coats, i'll try this first and report back. if the shoes look like they're glowing, it is because vintage shoes in size 10 are like unicorns. magic.

seriously, the a/w 09 April 77 lookbook is killing me. i want all of it. ALL OF IT. the first time i saw it, i started to feel a little tingly, no joke. i cannot wait for this to open so i can blindly throw my money at these guys.
